Mission Statement: Pin-Ups
We at Through the Looking Glass Studio believe that every woman is beautiful and unique; a product of a long line of amazing women who have come before her. We honor this idea by paying homage to the past with our vintage pin-up flair, while creating an amazing experience for every woman who walks through our door, making sure she walks out looking and feeling beautiful and special. We celebrate women of all shapes and sizes.
Why we love pin-up
In a modern world of instant gratification, low rise jeans, and super skinny supermodels, pin-up is so refreshing to me. The beauty of pin-up is it pays tribute to a time when sexy was simple: a garter showing here, a coy smile there. In all of the classic pin-up of the 1930s-50s a woman's personality was celebrated and her playful facial expressions were highlighted.
Beautiful women of all shapes and sizes were celebrated, and her curves accentuated and appreciated. A size zero can be beautiful, as well as a size twenty-two and everything in between.
We strive to take creativity to the next level through elaborate sets, makeup artistry, creative lighting, and costuming, that celebrate the divine nature of women to be so many different things to so many people. We celebrate the complex and beautiful nature of the feminine divine.

Who we are
Shoshana
Shoshana fell in love with studying people at an early age, and photography a little later when she received an SLR as a birthday present. She merged the two passions and found a love of portraiture. Shoshana went on to graduate with a BA in Photography from Texas A&M University- Commerce and taught photography while launching her successful freelance editorial photography business for an impressive client list of magazines, businesses, and non-profits.
A professional photographer and lover of big band and swing, burlesque, and vintage culture for over a decade, she launched Through the Looking Glass Studio in 2008.
The Studio
The name "Through the Looking Glass" pays tribute to the book which was the sequel to the beloved "Alice In Wonderland" story of childhood.
